6. Our Story
It all started when our founder, Josh Simpson, got fed up with payment issues eating into his freelance income.
After years of dealing with frozen accounts, ridiculous conversion fees, and waiting weeks for money he’d already earned, Josh decided enough was enough.
He started testing different payment platforms, documenting what worked and what didn’t. He made mistakes (expensive ones sometimes) so other freelancers wouldn’t have to.
Within a few months of switching to better payment solutions, Josh was saving hundreds of dollars monthly and receiving payments within days instead of weeks.
That’s when he realized: other freelancers are probably going through the same frustrating cycle.
So in October 2025, Finance Overviews was born.
Today, our small team shares one mission:
To help every freelancer receive their earnings quickly, safely, and without losing money to unnecessary fees.
We’re getting closer to that goal every day, one setup guide at a time.
